On taking a look at the State profiles, one would find that all the States have their own governing bodies with a Governor at the helm. The Union Territories, on the other hand, fall under the regime of the President of India, who appoints administrators to take care of the administrative issues of those areas.

Haryana: This State sprawls over 44,212 km2 of area and Chandigarh is its capital city. It is famous for its handloom tradition.
Himachal Pradesh: This State is extended over 55,673 km2 of area and Shimla is its capital city. This place is best known for its tourism industry.
Jammu & Kashmir: This Indian State is as long as 222,236 km2 and Srinagar is its largest city. Pashmina shawls are the main attraction of this region.
Jharkhand: This Indian State is as vast as 74,677 km2 and Ranchi is its capital city.
